Posted - November 07 2005 : 10:11:41 PM Today was a sad day for me because a friend of mine called me this morning to let me know that Talmadge Davis died last Thursday. He had a heart attack. I was lucky enough to have met Talmadge and he was a real sweetie. He was like a big teddy bear. I met him on my second Studigroup get-together. It was a very small gathering, only about six of us were able to make it, but Talmadge decided that he would be our host. He took us out to eat and he went to "Unto These Hills" with us, and just generally showed us around the "big" town of Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He was a very talented artist. In fact, somebody got the calendar at last year's Gathering that he signed. The lady that donated it hopes that whoever got it will treasure it forever. Here are a few pics of Talmadge aka "the big teddy bear."

Posted - November 10 2005 : 10:34:19 PM Thanks Caitlin. Cindy and I were just talking about Talmadge today. He joked around with us that he wished that he had a fan club like Wes, and then all of the women would come from all over the country just for him. We told him that we were his fan club and he liked that. Talmadge was just a person that you instantly liked when you met him. I know that I will always remember him with only good memories. Thanks again!!!
