Probably the best Christmas Carol ever written. Just click on the image below. May take a bit to download.

It is not the Divine Child, Play oboe, musette resonate. It is not the Divine Child, All sing His coming. For more than four thousand years We promised the prophets, For more than four thousand years We expected this happy time. A stable is His lodging, A little straw His bed, A stable is His lodging, God what a humiliation. O Jesus, King Almighty, While Your Child that You, O Jesus, O mighty King, Reign over us completely.

| Not quite. The board won't allow posting the correct accents. It should have an "accent aigu" on the "e" in ne. It should read "He is born, the divine child". Sure wish the board would let you spell correctly. |

This will probably make you faint with shock, Fitz, but I actually really, really like Zydeco music. Yes. It's true. It's so happy, joyful, and foot-tapping. I was first introduced to it many years ago, while on the farm in St. Lawrence County, NY. We had no TV, and our favorite Saturday evening entertainment was to listen to Prairie Home Companion on Public Radio. Garrison often had a Zydeco group on the show.
However. I have to disagree with you about what is the best Christmas song ever written... speaking only of contemporary songs. This one is: Mary, Did You Know?" |
