This is a topic of discussion that I had been delving into but last night. In my opinion, the revolutions may still have taken place, but in a different form. The American revolution was a colonial bid for independance, it was more or less inevitable (look at the Commonwealth now to see how much of the empire has declared independance).

Anyway, I'm glad to see someone to keep me company in the early hours of the morning.
