Petra -

In my opinion, Eric's anger & immaturity comes through loud & clear in the interview. I can't make myself more clear than I did on the interview page without taking the interview apart, point by point, which was not my intent. His complaining about film makers, I feel, certainly qualifies as "people today". This was not to be a hostile debate between Eric & I. Hey, he has a right to his feelings & opinions, however , as we chose to put the interview on our site, we felt a "mild" rebuttal was necessary, lest anyone reading it assumed we endorsed the entire content.

The analogy with Braveheart ... you brought up "white man" finds "white woman" deep in Indian country. In Braveheart, William Wallace, violently opposed to all things English, has an affair with the Princess (though she is French) ... totally incorrect historically, but my point was that it was a Hollywood sweetener, much like what Michael Mann did in LOTM with Hawkeye & Cora, and was done in Dances With Wolves with the two "white" leads. It happens with Indians, it happens with British ... what can I say? Everything is not racially motivated.
