Thanks, that was amusing! :-) Somehow I don't think this guy would appreciate Mark Twain's comments on Cooper's work. I wanted to respond to his comment about the color. I heard Roger Ebert say that the reason today's movies look so dark is that the theaters are running their projectors at about half-power to save on the lives of the lamps, which are very expensive. He said the directors are furious about this, but there's nothing they can do. The theaters DON'T care. I don't know if this is really true (any projectionists out there?), but I have noticed the dark quality of most movies in the last ten years or so. The last Star Trek was almost unwatchable, it was so dark. It seems to be worst in UA theaters; my subjective opinion, of course. Anyway, The other complaints about the film just seem silly to me. Of COURSE the Redcoats will be ambushed, EVERYBODY knows that! That's the whole POINT! :-) At least the movie didn't have twigs snapping all over the place.

Mike Zeares (who has been lurking, wanted to stay out of that whole interview bru-ha-ha.)
