Maybe she was thinking along the lines of Uncas being the last of his line and perhaps he should have gotten married and started having kids so he would no longer be the last of the mohicans. Perhaps she thought that Hawkeye would not marry since he seemed to be such a free spirit and didn't seem to find alot of time for romance. Then again, no of them really did. Lynne
