Poor Alice!

My heart has alway gone out to Alice. The poor girl was obviously unprepared for the savagery of this land. She just didn't have the emotional strength of her sister. I suspect she had always been sheltered, while Cora was tending the wounded in other wars. She spends most of the movie in a state of shock, merely reacting to events. Finally, she is able to regain control over her life only by ending it. I hope she and Uncas are together in the Mohican version of Paradise.
