: One of the things I was able to hear *very* clearly in last night's telecast of LOM, was Hawkeye's reply to Major Heyward, as they walk beside the river after the ambush...others may still have different opinions, but I have no doubts any longer that Hawkeye says "sudden-like" rather than "subtle-like" in this scene.  It was crystal clear last night, and even my husband, who didn't even know this was being discussed on this BB commented on the line.  (I had asked him to listen closely & tell me what he thought Hawkeye said.)

: Now I don't have to rewrite the line in my mind any more to have it make sense...it already does.  (Sorry, Rich, we are going to have to "agree to disagree" on this one. I almost gave in, figuring if I could be wrong on "get back!" I was probably wrong on this, too...but now I'm holding firm in my belief!)  Ohhhhhhh, the major conflicts this movie inspires!! ;o)

: All in all, isn't it great that we have all gotten so much pleasure out of the film, that we spend hours analyzing & commenting on it!
: And we have this BB as a forum to express our own personal thoughts & opinions!  Wonderful!
