Myrrh -- In response to your question about Daniel's sweat "... actually saw two drops of sweat drop from Hawkeye's chin as he was peering through the bushes upon approach to the slaughter at Camerons' cabin??" -- I was wondering if anyone has ever mentioned the bruise on his thumb? Again, haven't read all the notes that have accumulated about LOTM on this site (not enough time at work, and it's a new discovery!), but it's when Hawkeye is pushing back a branch of the bush you've mentioned...
Details are wonderful. I've often wondered how he got the bruise (which you can also see when he's in prison and touches Cora's face)... and wondered how long it took to grow out!
LOVE this movie and wonder if anyone would be willing/able to make and sell me a copy of the taped TV version broadcast last night. I knew it was going to be on, but never expected they'd have new footage!! It's a must, and I blew it.
Can't wait to pour through all previous bulletin board comments and join the ranks of the (now publicly) obsessed... Sarah
