Having noted the exchange in the forum about Rifles, Tomahawks and Tactics, I thought I might share two sources that one interested in the Native American thoughts and tactics to warfare can refer too. I personally think they are well written and thought out. The author of both is Leroy V. Eid, and they are entitled ""National" War Among Indians of Northeastern North America" from the Canadian Review of American Studies, Volume 16, No. 2, Summer, 1985; and "'A Kind of Running Fight': Indian Battlefield Tactics in the Late Eighteenth Century" from The Western Pennsylvania Historical Magazine, Vol. 71, No. 2., April, 1988. Hope they will be found useful.
