: Hi, again!

: It has been brought to my attention that some people attending the Gathering might want to stay over Sunday night, too, rather than heading home after a full day of "field trips" and the like. I will talk to Chimney Rock again Monday & find out about that for you. Remember, we need a minimum of 15 people to reserve it, so let me know if you are planning on the Bunkhouse Experience. Personally, I think it would be a lot of fun. There is a common area, in addition to the Men's & Ladies sleeping quarters. Even if you bring your spouse, it would be fun to spend the evening visiting as a group, and then retire to our separate quarters. Ladies, we could giggle all night over Hawkeye & Uncas to our heart's content. (Ooooh...a Sleepover! Popcorn and pillow fights??) And Gents, you could O.D. on muzzle loading gun talk and French & Indian War stuff (I can hear Tim Allen making manly grunting noises here!) It's just a thought, but it could be really fun, so I hope you won't rule the bunkhouse out just because you are with your spouse. ("Will you consider this?") Again, though, I know that some may want to stay someplace a little fancier, and I promise we who are roughing it in the bunkhouse won't make fun of you...much. ;o)

: I have also been reminded to find out if the bunkhouse provides linens, and I'll be checking that out Monday as well.

: Also, Myrrh asked in an earlier post what Saturday would be spent doing, and I think we who have been there felt that it would take pretty much a full day to really enjoy all the trails and stuff at the park. If we have a nice lunch break & then dinner at the pavillion, it leaves us time in between to climb the cliff trail & explore the two other beautiful trails, take lots of pictures, visit with each other, by some souvenirs and still have time left over to spend drooling on the glass at the "shrine" in the gift shop.

: The more I think about this event, the more excited I am about it. Hope you are all feeling the same way.

: Marcia

Marcia,
Thanks for doing all the work on the accomodations & food. I was thinking that if we don't get the minimum 15 people to reserve the bunkhouse we could all crash at Rich and Elaine's place. They have 7 kids so I'm sure they won't even notice a few extra bodies lying around. We'd bring our own popcorn, the GGGGs would bring their own Depends. It will be fun!!! Relax, Elaine. I'm kidding:-}}}
