: : Ciao Myrrh

: : : P.S. Carmen, you've seen Red River?? On video or on the big screen?

: : I've seen it taped from TV by Sylvine (she's posting every now and then). It's in French (doubled) as Sylvine lives in France.
: : Waiting for the original version to be released on tape.
: : None of the Eric's movies I listed were realesd on tape in Italy (not even on the big screen) so I menage to buy them from US or Canada every time. Red River is BEAUTIFUL! Shot about one year
: : before Dead Man's walk (Tom & Huck period more or less). You must see it.
: : Ciao Carmen

: Siyo! I am so pleased to see these wonderful additions! It's great to know you all appreciate Eric's talent too! It's especially neat to see how so many questions and comments about native cultures are popping up. I'll bet he would be thrilled. I truly believe his greatest talent is his ability to make people ask questions and think! And I agree with Carmen, "Red River" is beautiful! A friend had a somewhat "illegal" copy and I was very impressed. It should definitely be on everyone's "must see" list! As one of many who would like to see more of Eric in film, does anyone have an idea how we can make this happen? Surely there must be some way to draw the attention of film makers to this very talented young man. If you can think of anything let me know ... I'm game! Elizabeth

Salut Carmen and Elizabeth
I am so relieved that at least it is possible to talk about
Red River.Eric is very different here that in other films we were used to see with him.By my mind he is the best one in this movie.
There is a scene where he trains a wild horse, and I do not think
he is dubbed.Elizabeth, you must certainly know that?
What is good for him is that he begins to be known on the other side of ocean, there is certainly a place to take there.
I wonder how Yves Boisset(the director of the film) had the
idea of selecting Eric.
I am very sorry of the French voice he was given, heavy and
lonesome. Hope the English verse will soon come.I was told by
Carol that it was coming in 1998.
