: It has been some years, but I think the dimensions of the smoke post were something on the order of one foot high and one foot round.  They would smoke for a half hour or 45 minutes or so. You could even drop them in the water once lit, and the smoke would bubble up to the surface and lay on the water like a fog.  Ghastly stuff though STIIIINNNNNK!!!  Fer sure.
