: : : does everybody know this one part in the movie where Hawk eye is running up the trail right after uncas got thrown off the cliff and he yells something like "Nahcanz!" do you think that means brother cos when they are following the trail to the huron village he says something like "Dohj, nahcanz" so i think he is saying "father, brother" anyone agree or disagree?

: : I thought he yelled his name, "Uncas!"

: -------
: I had always though it was "Uncas!" But now that you've brought up the Delaware words, Tiget, I'm starting to wonder! Someone else in a previous message spelled out the words for "father" and "brother" in Delaware. Now I'm thinking he might actually be saying "brother" in his Indian tongue. Can anyone out there clear this up any?

I'm pretty postitve that he yells "Uncas". It just sounds different when he says the name in his own tongue than when he pronounces it in English. By the way, he also shouts the same thing along with something else in his language (Uncas, this way!?) when he spots the broken rhododendron that Cora left as a sign.
