Following up my own post. Bad form, I know, but so what? :-) Anyway, I mentioned the 35th (Royal Sussex) was taken into captivity in the real war, rather than being massacred as in the movie. I forgot to mention that there was a prisoner exchange later that year. Sort of a tactical error by the French, since the 35th was later among Wolfe's forces at Quebec. Two battalions of the 60th were also at that battle. They and the other regiments that took part in the fight on the Plains of Abraham call themselves Wolfe's Brigade and have been traditional friends ever since (they are all still active in one form or another). I don't know why British regimental history facinates me so much. I even own a book on the subject. Here's a trivia question:

What British regiments were involved in the battles of Lexington and Concord?
