It's one of those movies I continued to watch thinking " it's got to get better."  I'll be interested to know if our Mr. Bill makes it through the entire thing without falling asleep.

: I have to admit, although I will watch anything Daniel Day-Lewis is in at least once, I came out of the theater hating this one.  I wanted to kill the guy.  I felt like I had been in a straightjacket for 2 hours.  I watched it again for the period.  My grandparents were brought up in that society in NYC at that time.  The more I watched it, the more it grew on me.  I own my own copy (of course) and watch it frequently.  I still would have changed the ending if I had written it.  I hate those kinds of endings!
