Thanks, Victoria, for that interesting excerpt. Wouldn't her story make a great movie? I'd love to see some good women's roles in film, with strong heroines, devoted to a cause. Who could play someone like Charlotte Browne with conviction? Perhaps Kristen Scott Thomas? Emma Thompson? Suggestions, anyone?
