: Rent "Drums along the Mohawk"
: "Northwest Passage"
: "Unconquored"
: even the "Deerslayer" With Steve Forrest
: It was at least trying to be true to the story....
: Joe Hinson
: Sgt. Bratton's Regt.
: Somewhere near Yorkville,Charlottetown
: on the Catawba
: Apr. 1780

My, my, Sgt. You are mighty resourceful with your fonix and spelling tricks. I agree. This pathetic pseudo Pathfinder *SUX*.
Not at all worthy of a Mohican connection.
There are some interesting movie recommendations here. I would still like to see a remake of "Northwest Passage".

And Mr. Boone has been a hot topic. I apologize for the delayed post, but the lack of mention in the Musings piece on the real Hawkeye was not meant as a rejection of Daniel Boone as an inspiration for Cooper's character. He'd fit in to the conglomeration of frontiersmen theory. But if one is searching for a single individual, which was the primary focus of that musing, David Shipman is your man. Interesting comments.....................

Major Bray and Victoria, thanks for your posts on women of the period.

I'm still wondering what became of Jo's missing horse; the one Hawkeye, Ching, and Uncas had at the Camerons' cabin. Did they go to Schuylerville in between the lacrosse game and the George Road rescue???
