: I received the Jas Towsend & Son, Inc. catalog today. There is a video series(4 videos) called The Long Hunter Series with Mark A. Baker. I'm assuming this is the same Mark A. Baker that is a contributer to this site. The videos are about the 1760's Eastern Frontier if anyone is interested.

I have all four of Mark's videos, and find them very informative on the equipment and accoutrements of a Longhunter of the Middle-Ground around 1763... Also there is a short clip of James Moore making a turkey wing-bone Turkey call and info on foodstuffs available to the frontiersman of the 18th cent.. Each video is well worth the money if you want to se a rifle loaded , different styles of , Knives, belt axes, guns and how to's on , skinning a deer, making jerky, parching corn and many more things,If anyone wants the address I have it here ..

They also have many videos on making powder horns, Building a Kentucky Rifle, Knife making, Carving a rifle, casting gunmounts, and many more , these are very nice people , I have spoken to them on the phone and they are very interested in sharing the knowledge of the 18th Cent..
