Morning, everyone!

Thanks for the research Marsha!

: It amazes me how neglected LOTM was by the Academy. Something was/is VERY fishy. Sure, it did have tremendous SOUND, but HOW in the name of SANITY can that be the ONLY thing one recognizes as superb when viewing this masterpiece?? Poor Michael Mann ... all that hard work, so very little credit by his own!

Ditto, ditto, and thousand times ditto! LOTM should have had a lock on Best Cimematography. The Unforgiven doesn't compete in the least. Best Picture, yes. Best Director, yes. Best Supporting Actor of Wes, yes, yes, yes.

Can someone remember clearly when LOTM was first being advertized? I cannot, but I can say I do not remember it being splashed across the headlines in promos for TV, radio, and newspapers. Was the "other movie" promoted more, thus had more appeal? I am thinking LOTM just was not advertisied enough. In truth the only thing I can remember was seeing the "Hawkeye Over The Waterfall" trailers on Entertainment Tonight. Then after it opened it did not receive the media hype. Boy, Titanic sure did.

Steve Waddington Alert! In today's paper - Tarzan and the Lost City opens today. Casper Van Dien plays Tarzan, Jane March plays Jane, with Steven Waddington. Sorry no role mentioned. If anyone sees this let us know how it was.

Our local paper contains a section on re-enactments that are planned for the surrounding area. That's OH, KY and IN. I am sure someone out there has been to one and participated. Would like to hear about the experience if you wouldn't mind and where it was held.

Later...........
