: Thanks for finally telling us, Jo! ;o)
: I really enjoyed the suspense!
: Maybe Uncas got tired of carrying Hawkeye's stuff around. Just kidding.

: Even tho' Hawkeye seems not to have changed shirts (that was obviously his favorite one), he DID have really lovely, clean hair that night at the fort, didn't he? Think he washed it cuz he knew he'd be 'finding' Cora later? :) I wonder if Daniel used soapbark to wash his hair, so he wouldn't break character...

Myrrh,
(Just getting the time to post this....speed is not my thing...)
Yes, I think Uncas just left the bedroll there; or maybe it became a souvenir between scenes....anyway, I was thinking about the soapbark. I remember seeing DDL...(I had no idea at the time who he was) accepting his Oscar for "My Left Foot" which was just after (?) the filming of LOTM; his hair was just past/at his collar, on the flat side; but not the "big hair" as in the scene at the fort with Cora which really looked great. So I agree, either he used soapbark or the wig masters picked out the wrong one!! I think I would rather believe he used soapbark......this might have explained what that green stuff was sticking out of Uncas' bedroll that can be seen as he leaves the room after meeting Munro the first time...of course, it would mean Hawkeye wanted to look his best for Cora so why not change a shirt?!
