: :I'm new to the site but have a comment about the relationship between Uncas, Nathaniel and Chingachook. It's obvious from the beginning of the film it's an unbreakable bond, but one more example is after the three have left the cave through the waterfall. Mann focuses on Magua taking those left in the cave captive, but then directs us to the river where Uncas and Nathaniel help Chingachook out of the rapids. Even when all three are safely resting on the rock, they have their arms around each other, and I believe even Nathaniel is resting his head on Uncas leg or lap. You could never accuse these men of being "girly", and yet there is obviously a loving bond between all of them. Let me also add I'm so happy to find fans who are as touched by this film as I am. Looking forward to conversing with all of you.

Hi, Kiki! Welcome to this bulletin board. You will find many Mohican Maniacs to converse with here, I'm sure! Thanks for reminding us of the rescue of Chingachgook...one more prime example of their close relationship!
