: : : So - what new gossip do all the more stateside devotees have to share?

Well, my "gossip" is seven years old, but here goes:

Eric Schweig used to jog along highway 126 which runs along the bottom of the Ft. Wm. Henry "battlefield".

Wes Studi smokes.

One of the crew built special shelves into the trailer for Daniel Day-Lewis.

What was the base camp/makeup tent (see site) for Lake James is once again a tree nursery.

Some of the canoes had small motors on them. (Notice in the film that you don't always see the rear of the canoe!) If they had panned the cameras to the left of the mountain in the background, you could have seen the RV park and campground!

Russell Means stayed in one of my co-worker's lake home. He was a really nice guest, according to her.

The fort was burned, and the ruins bulldozed into a ravine just over the top of the hill.

Special people were hired to make Native American masks and baskets for the Huron village. Unfortunately, few of the things are visible.<
