Hi, Kiki! I, too, love soundtracks, and have begun to collect a few. Of course, LOM is one of my very favorites, and I agree with your assessment entirely. I thought you'd be interested to know that in researching Mohican film reviews online, once, I found a review of the soundtrack which panned it from beginning to end! The reviewer made especial note of "how badly the two different styles of music (the sweeping score from the opening of the film, and the later sounds of fiddles, pounding drums, etc) went together...so poorly as to make the score seem disjointed. A total failure." I was astounded by this review!! The things this person hated most were the things I loved most! It is certainly strange that we all listen & look at the same works of art, and come away with sometimes widely different opinions of what we have heard & seen!

I love Clannad & have a CD of theirs I've just about worn out. Thanks so much for the info on Banba...I'll be looking for it immediately! Sorry I can't help you on Orchestral Mohican or Daniel Lanois. Good luck with that search.

Marcia
