Being a U2 fan, I can tell you that Lanois produced several of their better albums, including Joshua Tree and Unforgettable Fire. He's also worked with diversified artists from Peter Gabriel to Emmylou Harris. He did a few solo albums and movie scores, but I'm guessing that his "Orchestral Mohican" was never produced or published.
You mentioned you have alot of soundtracks - have you heard the score to Rob Roy - it compliments this film almost as well as Trevor and Randy captured Mohicans in music.
