: : : Tantoo has done a few contemporary flicks such as Silence ( with August Schellenberg filmed around Vancouver),Lakota Woman, Sioux City, Spirit Rider ( with Adam Beach and Gordon Tootoosis) and she was a recurring character on the TV series North of 60.As well you can catch a glimpse of her in "Running Brave".Her last name back then was  Martin.

: Tongue.  For anyone who has not seen it--it was also a very good
: movie (Native American theme).  It played in the art house movie theaters around here.
: It was a good story and was also the last movie that River Pheonix was in before he died.  Shiela Toussey also plays in it. She was the star of Grand Avenue. You can rent it on video in our
: area but I don't know if it is carried throughout the U.S.
