Agreed. But I'll always be partial to the way I first saw it presented.

[The sound was incredible. You could hear the bullets tearing through the air and "thwacking" into the French soldiers (ick).]
The sound throughout the movie was incredible. Amazing, hearing the bullets zipping about, even through leaves sometimes!

[I agree, the movenments of Uncas and Hawkeye were very graceful. I sort of suspect that this and some other scenes were done in order to make people in the audience go, "Ooooh!" (well, it IS a romance!)]

*chortle* Yup, it sure is! And I did go "oooooh!"- as I'm sure others did!! hee-hee! The visual beauty of their movements, though, matched the beauty of the panoramic scenes, but on a more intimate scale -- same with the even more intimate love scene on the battlements, and the caress following. So pleasing to the eye.
