Welcome. Yes, your Mediterranean blood is very noticeable (from one to another). Loquacious? (If only we can see the hands talking!) Opinionated? (All Italians are.... and a flag for every possible invading nation kept in every home!) Abrupt? (Perfect! Capisco.)

Okay; Cooper ..... In the interest of fairness and objectivity, which I am sure EVEN the Anti-Cooper faction is in favor of (by the way, Anti-Coopers are the dissenters. He wrote, uhm, er, "The Last of the Mohicans" ....), you may want to check out "Mr Twain's Critiqueing Offenses", just for the fun of it. And yes, "Cooper's Literary Offenses" was funny!

So, Dave, stick around! Colonial history is a non-exhaustive topic. Cooper debates are fun. LOTM ... a classic.
