: One more example of why a director's version of the movie should be released. Did Duncan do something that ended up on the cutting room floor so we don't know how if he arrived before everyone else. Maybe he followed Kevin Costner's lead and catapulted his way in ;-)! In any case, I'm sure he would have preferred being under Cora's skirts but for argument's sake I would figure he was in the canoe and "let the savages" pull them in.
