I HAVE noticed the bluejay cries in several scenes. I think most people believe them to be the calls of hawks, but I'm pretty sure they are jays. (Bluejays are notorious for giving a very good imitation of a red-shouldered hawk). I believe this is the bird cry we hear during the haunting music at the scene of the Cameron's burned cabin. What do you think?

I'd say it's definitely bluejays we hear at Cameron's cabin. When I'm outdoors I still can't hear their screeches without immediately picturing Hawkeye peering through the cornstalks!
