To be quite honest, I never saw it that way. Now that you mention it, I would have to admit that I agree with you (it doesn't drive me up the wall though).

Nonetheless, Cora was one of the strongest characters whether real or fictious that I have come across, so I don't think that she was about to fall to pieces any minute (but still it was quite unnecessary, I have to admit).
