Wow, Ann...that's a completely different take than mine. I always thought her face expressed shock & surprise at the passion he was arousing in her. And where you see DDL being overwhelmed, I see him being in complete control, from the moment he takes her hand and leads her there, to the the moment he kind of "dives in" for the actual kiss, to the moment he picks her up, to the final scene gazing out over the ramparts with a satisfied look on his face. It's always interesting to me how we each have our own perspective on these scenes.
