: Soldier #2: Re your remarks about the "kiss" & Madeleine, Daniel--maybe they were practicing the movie kiss. Granted it's unromantic but a cinema kiss scene is rehearsed same as all others , isn't it?
Oh Yessss! They didn't just go up there and kiss and that was that. It took one whole night to film that scene. If you notice when they are hugging afterwards, you can see the light of dawn behind them as looking across Shortoff Mtn. in the background.
: My impression of the scene was that she was definitely in charge. Being an Irish lad(movie star or not) he might have felt a little awkward during this particular shot. Did you notice most of the chosen takes for the love scene were of her face.
My thoughts are that she is a big city girl. Seeing, hearing about, maybe even experiencing sex herself she would know more about how to turn a man on. Hawkeye, being a woodsman, wouldn't what to do with a women if she fell out of the sky on top of him other than his own natural satisfaction. So, he would aloue her the control if she would take it.
: I believe her all-american woman "go for it" attitude might've been a bit overwhelming for Daniel during the kiss. Just makes him more charming in my opinion though.
I agree. As I said earlier.
: By the way, how do I identify you in the film? Would you please describe your location in one of the scenes.
: Thanks, Ann
Oh god! haha Okay, I am in most every scene with red coats. Somewhere! In all the fight scenes. Somewhere! Just before the first ambush you see a close up of the guy who Magua first hits. I am right behind him and you can see half of my face. Later I am in the canoes and you can see me best as I am the last to protect the girls in the cave. I am the one who Magua kicks as he is coming to the girls in the cave.
