In the original script what seems to be a !?!?!?! REBUFF ?!?!?!?! of Uncas' affectionate advances ???? Impossible and Preposterous!!! [Most especially if I were Alice]

I'm am so glad they left the mutual affection (I know that some people may not agree) subtle so that lots of the intense silent emotion between them can be left to the imagination. Though I Believe The Intense Emotion Was There.
