Hi Susie
I don't know about when they get captured, but i start counting when they enter the caves. Well they don't tell you in the movie, but i think at least 10 or 12 hours from the time that they enter the caves. This is because of the lighting (still bright out when they enter the caves). Then it gets darker as time passes in the cave. Next, when we see Uncas, Chingachgook and Hawkeye, it is dark out, slowly becoming dawn. So it has to be at least half a day. Maybe more, but i don't think so.
I'm not certain of this so if anyone thinks i'm wrong, please correct me.
