I, myself, am a new fan as well. I saw LOTM a few years ago and i didn't think much of it. Probably because i was only 14 at that time. But i saw it again a couple of weeks ago on TNT and then on the "Superstation" and i was completely taken back. I couldn't understand how i could have fallen in love with this film when i first saw it. Well, like yourself i went out and got the soundtrack and then the video of the film (had trouble finding it too).
