Just as we must look below the surface to gain a greater understanding of Magua, we must look again at what the triumvirate were up to when we first join the story of LOTM. We must unstop our ears to hear not just the words but what is really being said and wipe the dust from our eyes to see the signs before us. When we look only at the surface, we are more likely to see our own reflection than what is really taking place. Let me just ask, is there some connection between Hawkeye and this voyageur?
