: Yes, the devastating Foo-Foo Doper War has been excellent for business. The terrible feature of war in the Americas, alas ;-))

: Hmmmmm... Doesn't our ally, The Concerned Citizen in Can-Tuck-ee, have excellent connections to the Seneca? That is an opportunity worth exploring, yes?

: There is no deal like a shady deal, my friend. In fact, shady deals are the only good deals!

": : PS I heard David Gamut was asking about you."

: WHAT?!!!! Oh no, he'll come over for sure and ramble on for hours about the need for ethics, integrity and morality in the trading business. What a drag...

: Till midnight (am curious about the Hawkeye news)
: Your friend,

Dear Dutchie,

That war was a fine example of war of attrition, was it not? Perfect opportunities emerge from such affairs for those fast enough to turn a profit.
Concerned Citizen in Can-tuck-ee has been known to romp with the Seneca, Shawonese, and Delaware. This is good. Perhaps we ought to invite her and our woodland allies to Cameron's place.
Regarding news of Hawkeye; well there's a few things to tell but perhaps this will interest you. There are rumors, only rumors mind you, that he was found along the banks of the Mohawk, smashed out of his mind. No one knows how he got there but there is talk that you and I had a hand in it. Keep this in mind when dealing with the fanatical Hawkeye faction in Mohicanland. They are short on tempers. Also, I don't know who that Cora dame is (though I've heard tell she's got a reputation as frontier slut and can't tell the difference betwixt a deer and a horse!), but Hawkeye keeps a Delaware woman at Gnadenhuten. If they hear of his Cora cavorting, he's one dead yangeese! I think we should use this *ahem* news to our advantage. What say you?

Yes, that singing master will sing you a song of ethics, to be sure. If he shows up, just offer him refreshments. He can't drink worth a lick.

Tonight at Cameron's. I wonder where the French Trader has gone off to? ...............

Respectfully,

E. Lane
