: Dear Sarah,

: traveling up and down in a comfortable, fully equipped van, with a refrig, tiny stove, pull out bed, tv/vcr (to play LOTM?)and blasting speakers with you know what's soundtrack...
: Ah lady, I agree, questa la vita! c'est la vie!
: Cheers to that!

: you said : Meanwhile, anyone for forming a virtual LOTM book club and sharing the experience with me?

: OK, what do you propose? How do we go about it?

Vita,

It's starting to sound like a bunch of us newbies aught to band together, read the books in synch with designated time-lines or something, and then find a way to discuss them together, maybe with one or two "experts". Perhaps Rich and Elaine would let us use the Chat part of the web site for small fee of wampum something-or-other. First read: Deerslayer. Not sure if we want to go through all Coopers' books or intersperse them with something like some real history such as Montcalm's letters. I was originally joking, but it might be kinda fun! The way my Mother's book club has done if for - uh - 35 years is that they take turns "leading" the book discussion, being required to prepare material on it for the other clubbies. Don't know how Oprah does it, though!

Thoughts?

Cheers,
Sarah
