Regarding those demographics ... If you trace a line up the Appalachian states, and then REAL sudden/subtle-like turn west into the eastern mid-west (that is from Florida up to New York, and then west to Illinois) ... you have a ... a ... warclub? Those are the states, plus some major population centers like Texas, California & Massachussetts, making up, it would appear, the bulk of MohicanLand. Nearly totally missing are the states that make up the Great Plains!
In the past, one of the compliments that we've sometimes received is, "... one of the things I love about this site is its PERSONAL nature ..." We KNOW we haven't been quite as good at keeping up on all the personal contacts as we used to be. And, it's not as if we don't think about all of you, but keeping up on our E-Mail has become harder & harder as the Site visitation gets bigger & bigger. Try as we might, we fall behind ... big-time! In spirit, though, everything is STILL the same, and, as always, we greatly appreciate your presence (you too, Wolfie!)
Good news on The River Walk for the next Gathering ... we heard from a representative of the corporation that owns the area and it looks like we may yet be able to obtain access. This nearly happened, at the last minute, last year, if you remember. With the added time, we may be able to pull it off this go-round. Keep your fingers crossed if you plan on attending. (We will be updating The Gathering Page down the road ... MMMMarcia is hammering out some details AS WE SPEAK!)
The Board has been, shall we say, SLOW of late ... This is NORMAL. It comes and goes. Every so often, the well runs dry. Once it's replenished, things pick up.
Eric Schweig ... Mandy, we welcome you and your comments! However, just as an aside, this Board is not about his PERSONAL life. So, the Gail & Eric question must remain unanswered ... at least here. Feel free to talk about his public life.
Director's Cut ... Picking up still, but NEED MANY MORE!
I must have had too much coffee this AM ... more another time ...
