Dear Courier Editors,

Early yesterday afternoon I beeheld Chingachgook tearing likkety-split in a northward direction from the Gazing Pool and whooping in an unseemly manner for a reputedly dignified Chief of the Turtle Clan. He was pursued closely by Gore Bee and Sore Bee Hind, who made sure he didn’t change his mind about going. Ching covered the distance between the Gazing Pool and the Mohawk River (a matter of several miles) in 10 minutes flat, threw himself into the river and flailed across it’s entire width in a few seconds. He clambered to the bank, rounded a large rock and ran square into Hawkeye, who was staring up at the clouds at the time and didn’t see him coming. As soon as the two picked themselves up and wiped off the river mud, Hawkeye grabbed Killdeer, and driven by reinforcements from the hive, joined Chingachgook in the headlong rout toward the north. By now they should be somewhere in the vicinity of the Huron camp, where they will be encouraged to buzz along to the sting operation with the rest of the swarm.

I will continue to report as the action unfolds. Reinforcements from Mohicanland will be appreciated, since the Hurons and Iroquois may scatter under the attack (not to speak of Hawkeye and Chingachgook, who are pretty scattered already).
