Glad to see you all arriving home safely, little by little ...
(Adele! What a nightmare advencha! Clabert was running into a bit of trouble, too, though he just wrote to say he's home ... Bill & Betty ... who's the jinx???)

We are glad to have the board back, of course, & to re-establish the communication process here. The hackers ought to think a bit about their course of disruptive action, no? It is a FEDERAL CRIME, dearies, with penalties you may not be so amused by. And the MacWilliam Clan has now offered to *provide* true Scottish Justice (no assize, I'm afraid) for those responsible ...

Several MohicanLand residents were at Fort Carillon this past weekend ... reports????

The Friends of the Falls are holding a meeting tonight in Asheville regarding the former Dupont owned Riverwalk land. Anyone in the vicinity who might be able to attend? According to Woody from FOF, the next go round for arguing in favor of state acquisition will be the first week of August. For information on what YOU can do to help, call Woody or JoJo at (828) 862-5613. It's a fight you ought to make ...

Belated congratulations to our Towne Crier, Vita, & her husband Michael. Sunday was their 25th wedding anniversary!!!! She had so wanted to attend this year's Gathering, but for the important celebration, could not.

I was so happy I could make it Sunday evening to Bear Den, after all. What a pleasure to see you all again - and to meet *new* folks this year! What a nice, nice group of people!!!! Thank you SO much, Ann & Bill, for arranging for the musicians, Barby & Barrett, to be there for us! Very generous of you. It was the perfect atmosphere - those bagpipes really set the mood!!! (And thank you, Barby. It was fun getting to know you & Bill M.) Marcia & Kate did such a great job with the raffles & Ariel's Cabin - it went so well! Ariel's Cabin raised $820 US Dollars for this little girl. Thank you all for contributing & thank you, Kate, for endless hours of work. It is MUCH appreciated. (Ariel is still in need of a feeding tube but she is gaining weight again - overall, she's doing a bit better. We hope to have some more news on her & her family soon!)

The Trading Post ... the Dutch Trader did a good turn for us there. (Thanks, Ilse! And you, too, Ayesha!) Truth be told, we went easy on the French Trader this time, being his first foray into MohicanLand's heartland and all ... but, next time, he'll have a good run for his wampum & peach brandy, to be sure. Be forewarned, francais ...

This brings me to the *next time* question ... we really DON'T know at this point what we're doing. There are several reasons to consider taking a break, perhaps until the following year, or possibly changing the time of year a bit ... it's too soon to decide. But we do know how people feel about it; really, we do. Just have to sit on it a bit ...

Thanks to all who came, all who helped, & all who kept the home fires burning. We appreciate it more than you know ...

Lastly, thank you ALL for the congratulations & unbelievably precious notes for our little babe!!!!!!

Elaine
