: Ha! Miss Katie & I SCOFF at 19 hours! Our journey home took forty-eight hours, and isn't over YET, for one of us! Of course, we DID dawdle in Chimney Rock, so we only made it over the border into South Carolina the first day. But still...we WERE actually on the WAY towards home, and we JUST got here about an hour ago, so 48 hours is about right. More on our trip, and our Gathering thoughts later! Just couldn't resist comparing travel times...though, to be fair, you weren't actually PLANNING on your delays, and WE, on the other hand, CREATED ours. Glad you got home safely, and I hope your bags show up SOON.

Well ladies - I thought I could at least count on my former roomies for some sympathy! HA! Now, if I had been enjoying the same scenery as you for my 19 hours - would not be complaining so much! There is only so much of interest on the Charlotte runway - and the inside of Dulles Airport is not the biggest thrill I had all weekend (it did however reduce me to tears - but not in quite the same way as Table Rock!)

By the way, latest word on the luggage is that it enjoyed an extra night in Washington - taking in the sights, visiting the White House etc etc. It should be flying in this morning and bearing in mind the ripeness of the contents - it will probably not be requiring a plane.
