Christina:
I live up in Flagstaff, AZ and would love to tour you around. There are lots of ruins up here and I can take you all over the rez. Unfortunately, the Hopi's have closed their celebrations to all whites, because of vandalism and disrepsect, but I have access to others. If you are interested in coming up here, let me know and I'll arrange a super tour.

: : : I've been reveling in everyone's accounts of their travels to North Carolina and am happy to say that I've now been given a chance for some travel of my own! A friend in Phoenix has requested that I come visit her for a long weekend that she has promised to financially subsidize!!! I've never been west before at all, and will have two days on my own after she goes back to work. Anyone here live/have lived in the Phoenix area? Are there any good historical sites that would be good for a lass on her own to visit? Particularly with relevance to Native American history???

: : It's not far from Phoenix, I recommend definitely checking out the Superstition Mountains area - home of the Lost Dutchman's Mine. There also is a great ghost town called Goldfield Ghost Town at the base of the mountains in Apache Junction AZ. It's a beautiful area. We spent the last two New Years there!
: : Have fun!

: Hi Caitlin!

: I'd be interested in hearing about the Lost Dutchman's Mine. What is that about? I hope you are well! Didn't get a chance to say goodbuy in the grand way I would have liked to...
