Dear Mohican Friends: Please help our efforts to help save Riverwalk from development. The NC Council of State will meet the first week in Aug
to discuss and more than likely decide the fate of the Little River valley. We have 3 weeks to let them hear from us that this is something we want. If there is enough support for this issue NC will use its powers of emminant domain to purchase this tract and add it to surrounding Dupont State forest. If this does not happen, you will never be able to visit Riverwalk again. Please visit http://www.dupontforest.com to find out how you can help save riverwalk and for contact info for COS members. If you are in NC then your voice is a bit louder because your tax dollars are involved and you are a voter in this state. If you are out of state your message can include a note about wanting to visit this area and bring in tourist dollars. Please,Please contact COS via email or snailmail and let them know you think Riverwalk should be in public hands and open for all to visit freely. With your help we can win this.
