Since I’ve already gotten answers to my questions about bundling cloths, I’m figuring somebody, somewhere on this board will help me with this one. I’m reading a novel set in the late 18th century and they keep talking about people getting sent into the woods and eating “nocake.” What in the heck is “nocake?” Trust me, this isn’t a typo and I don’t mean hocake or anything like that...please please enlighten me...
