: : Now, isn't it ironic that THIS is the 'thought' that gets the most responses! Obviously, there are a lot of people identifying with this one - will try and provide more in the same style for a while....

: Well, you couldn't be expected to know about our American work ethic.....Monday nothing gets done due to trying to get over the weekend and gear up, Tuesday nothing gets done because of meetings all day (can't have them on Monday because of too many people likely to abuse sick leave), Wednesday spend all day answering the actions and taskers coming out of the meetings on Tuesday and telling everyone why it can't be done. Thursday, try to get to your in basket and spend all day prioritizing everything in it. Friday, scramble around frantically trying to get something done, can't because all the action officers you need have taken Friday off as a long weekend - so you take a half day of leave and go home!!!!

Or as my friends in the Emerald City say:
"Wake up at 12:00 and start to work at 1:00,
Take an hour for lunch and then at 2:00, you're done!"
