: A SEWER?! For cryin' out loud! I was simply NOT going to give my very humble, inarticulate opinions on all the excuses underachievers make for being underachieved. It would cause a HUGE controversy and TGAT Lainey wouldn't be here to enjoy it. Sheesh!;)

Alrightythen! I just needed a bit of time to come up with a diplomatic way of being opinionated.

Let's take the Gathering's "On Top of the World". GETTING to the top was fabulous for me. There were those who were surprised at their reaction to getting to the top. There were those who had BIGGER plans than getting to the top. There were those for which the journey was easy and those for which it was agonizing. There were helpers and saviours and heros. Right. It was great.

Then there were those who CHOSE not to go to the top. I heard no criticism from the "bottom" folks. HOWEVER, what a great surprise to discover that these folks had OTHER mountains in mind. The climb to The Falls was the goal for some. Some didn't make it, but were DETERMINED to make it next time.

After seeing all these different people make it, or try to make it to 'the top', I can only feel pity for those who are critical of others accomplishments. Pity, because they are blind to their OWN abilities and accomplishments. They will ALWAYS be on the bottom looking up.
