: (The blessing of St. Andrew be upon this humble poetry)
:
: X

: O! Where Are They Now?

: To be sure, the dead are gone but remembered.
: As it is, their strength and wisdom recalled.
: Forever, their memory will be harvested.
: O! Where are they now?

: Young Lord Howe, the exemplar for his men.
: Pierced through, with bullet from the French.
: This flower of strength, withered and dead.
: O! Where is he now?

: The Scotsman, bold and vigor filled.
: His title, Robison, sergeant, of Clan Gunn.
: On the abatis, dead, leading his men.
: O! Where is he now?

: The 42nd, wave after wave were sent.
: To die, upon that abatis cruel.
: With broadsword, flashing and then broken.
: O! Where are they now?

: And friends, Chauncey, Seamus and Tim.
: In retreat, they boarded crowded boats.
: To repair, and refit to fight again.
: O! Where are they now?

: The scouts, Many Flags and Three Tales gone.
: To the woods, to be gone from the civilized mass.
: To cleanse, to purge the smell of death.
: O! Where are they now?

: O Carillon! Your fortress walls so cruel.
: To disband, the comrades we love so well.
: They will return, these warriors, in spirit and flesh.
: But....Where are they now?

Dear Poet of Scotia,

WHO wrote that poem? St. Andrew or you?
Yeah. Hey. am blue, anyway, what with my goodbuddy Seamus taken to war, and with a bullet hole in his hat, no less... and here I read your bard... sob, sob.
