Doc, Mon ami,

: : : To All: Also, besides Mary's birthday, on this date in history in 1969 men first walked on the moon. That's some good company, Mary!

: : Well, now! THAT explains THAT, now doesn't it?? Thanks, Bro!

: Oh, you mean all that celebratory hoo-ha back in 1969
: wasn't for ME??? Dagnabit!! And so many people in my
: life have wished I had been sent to the moon, too!

: Since there are a lot of Gray Hairs here, I'm sure we
: all remember the incredible feeling of watching Neil
: Armstrong climb down that ladder, and then going outside
: to look at the moon to marvel that two men were actually
: up there. My dad said the only thing that he could
: compare it to was how he felt as a young man when he
: heard that Lindbergh had landed in Paris. He and I
: were both nuts about the space program. One of the
: best memories I have is when he hoisted me up on
: his shoulders to watch Sputnik move through the night
: sky right over our house.

: Thanks again for all the birthday greetings, everybody!

: Doc M
